With proper aftercare the stain can last for up to 7 weeks on the hair and 10 days on the skin, giving long-lasting results for a low maintenance every-day look.

What Products do I Need?

Our full Hybrid Stain Kit has everything you need to carry out a Hybrid Stain treatment from start to finish for just £79.95 (Worth £105).The 'Full Hybrid Stain Kit' includes brow exfoliation products, all 4 hybrid stain colours, developer, stain remover and brushes. Alternatively, we have our hybrid stain starter kit and all products are available to purchase separately, allowing you to top up as and when needed.

How Do I Use Pinkfishes Hybrid Stain?

For best results, first prep the area by cleansing the brow with Pinkfishes Pink Refine Shampoo or Sensitive Cleansing Sachets. Then, use Pinkfishes Eyebrow Scrub and Eyebrow Scrub Brush to exfoliate the brow and then re-cleanse to leave the area clean, dry and oil-free. Next map out the brows with a mapping pen or string. Mix Pinkfishes Hybrid Brow Stain with Pinkfishes Hybrid Stain Developer (ratio: for every 2 drops of brow stain, add 1 drop of hybrid stain developer) then mix well and apply to the brow area using an eyebrow brush. Ensure any excess product is removed immediately so it does not stain the skin, using Pinkfishes Hybrid Tint & Stain Remover. For best results, apply 3-4 thin layers of tint to the brow. Leave on for a maximum of 7-10 minutes (timings will vary) and then wipe off with a wet cotton pad. To create an ombré look, apply for a shorter amount of time on the head of brow. For any mistakes or to neaten the placement, use Pinkfishes Hybrid Tint & Stain Remover.

What Qualifications Do I Need to use Hybrid Brow Stain?

In order to use our hybrid brow stain you will need a qualification in eyebrow shaping & tinting. Once you are confident with using regular tint, using hybrid tint is a very similar process, so no further qualification is required. Here at Pinkfishes we offer eyebrow shaping and tinting courses at our Pinkfishes training academy which is suitable for beginners. Can I Charge Clients More for a Hybrid Treatment Compared to a Standard Brow Tint?

While pricing is, of course, completely up to you and depends on your local area and competition. We definitely recommend charging slightly more for a hybrid brow treatment, due to the fact that the stain lasts longer than a standard tint will last. It is also a more specialised treatment, where you could include brow mapping for sparser brows, to help build up more of a thicker shape by staining the skin.

Why do I need to prep the area before doing a Hybrid Stain treatment?

It is ideal to prep the area using Pinkfishes Eyebrow Scrub which is a gentle brow exfoliant which helps remove excess oil and dead skin cells that build up in the brows, to create an ideal canvas for hybrid brow stain and brow lamination treatments. Scrubbing the brows beforehand allows for better absorption of the product, meaning the brow stain will be more pigmented and last longer. Pinkfishes Eyebrow Scrub is coconut scented and leaves the brows rejuvenated leading to longer lasting results. Brush a small amount of eyebrow scrub through the brows in circular motions to gently exfoliate away all dirt and dead skin cells - you can use Pinkfishes Brow Scrub Brush to help with this. Finally, wipe away and pat the area dry before continuing with your brow treatment.

What is the Difference Between Henna & Hybrid Stain?

Henna tint is mainly made up from natural dye made from the henna plant, whereas Pinkfishes Hybrid Brow Tint is a blend of natural and synthetic ingredients designed for optimal long-lasting results. Hybrid Stains have added ingredients that can nourish and soften the brow hairs, keeping them hydrated throughout the treatment.

While henna does generally last longer on the skin, hybrid stains have been developed to process quicker - making make the treatment time less overall. The application is also a lot easier down to its gel-like consistency, compared to the more watery consistency of henna.

Henna typically lasts up to 2 weeks on the skin and up to 6 weeks on hair. Hybrid Brow Tint, with its advanced formula, can last up to 10 days on the skin and 7 weeks on the hair.

Can I Use Hybrid Stain with a Brow Lamination Treatment?

Yes - unlike other brow products you can use hybrid stain products in conjunction to a brow lamination treatment. Combining these treatments will allow you to achieve neat, full, defined and long lasting brows for your clients that'll give them a new found confidence.
