What is Bonded?
Bonded is a versatile balm designed to secure lashes to the shield during lash lift treatments and position brow hairs during brow lamination treatments, keeping them in place throughout the entire treatment. It can also be used to attach lash lift shields to the eyelid, and be used as a barrier for the skin during brow laminations (and Korean lash lifts).

How does it differ from traditional lash lift glue?
Unlike traditional lash lift glues, Bonded Balm offers a softer, more flexible hold. It allows for easier lash repositioning during treatment and can help minimise dehydration of the lashes compared to stronger adhesive-based products.

Will the balm affect processing times?
Yes - as it does act as a bit of a barrier, you will need to add a couple of minutes to your usual processing times. Make sure to do regular lash/brow hair checks to ensure you do not remove the solution to prematurely.

What treatments can this balm be used for?
Bonded can be used for both lash lift and brow lamination treatments. It can be used to secure shields to the eyelids, to secure the lashes to the shields, to hold brows in place during a lamination and act as a barrier to the skin.

Can I reposition lashes after applying the balm?
Yes. One of the key benefits of Bonded is that it allows for easy adjustment and repositioning of lashes before treatment solutions are applied.

Is the balm suitable for brow laminations?

Absolutely. The balm can be used to brush and secure brow hairs into the desired shape during brow lamination treatments. It also acts as a great barrier to the skin for clients that have more sensitive skin.

What is the purpose of a barrier balm?

A barrier balm helps to protect the skin during lash lift and brow lamination treatments by creating a protective layer between the product and the skin. Applied around the eyelids or on the brows, it can help minimise the risk of irritation, staining and dryness caused by treatment solutions.

Bonded can be used as a barrier balm to provide added comfort for clients, particularly those with sensitive skin, while also helping to keep the treatment area clean and tidy throughout the service. It forms a lightweight protective shield without interfering with the performance of your lash lift or brow lamination products when applied correctly.

Does the balm leave a residue?
When used correctly, the balm should not leave excessive residue. Any remaining product can be easily removed during the treatment process by using a step 3 hydration balm, such as Pink Rise, Pink Hydrate or Pure.

Can I use the balm with glueless shields?
Yes. Bonded Balm pairs perfectly with glueless shields and can help create a smoother lash placement process.

Can the balm be used to attach shields to the eyelid?

Yes, apply a small amount to the back of the shield using a lip brush and apply directly to the eyelid. When removing, use a damp lip brush, or coat a brush in some hydrating solution (step 3) to release the shield from the skin.

Is the balm suitable for sensitive clients?
The balm has been formulated for professional use and is designed to be gentle on the hair.

How much product should I use?
A small amount goes a long way. Start by applying a thin layer to the shield or brows and add more only if required.

Can I use the balm with both TGA and Cysteamine systems?
Yes. Bonded is compatible with both TGA-based and Cysteamine-based lash lift and brow lamination systems. It also works amazingly with our New NOVALIFT 1-step system.

How should I store the balm?
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Always ensure the lid is securely closed after use.
