pinkfishes.com is owned by two good friends, Tina (me) and Annie. Our shared love and passion for everything beauty has inspired us to develop pinkfishes.com a unique family Eyelash Specialist Company. From an early age, the highlight of my day was spending time with my beautiful mum Anne. My fondest memories being, all those hours spent applying makeup together to my Girls World’s head (an 80’s plastic makeup mannequin head). In my early teens, I did not get to pursue my beauty ambition but instead worked at an accounts office in London. I had 3 beautiful boys, Lewis now 19, Callum 17 and Morgan 15. I spent my late 20’s, as any mum would know, trying to be in 5 different places at once; to negotiate clubs between my boys. Cheering them on at their football matches was now the highlight of my week, and my mum was never far away.
My ambition to own a family run beauty salon led myself and my mother to college, where we both began to obtain beauty qualifications. This was just the start of our new journey. Two years on we opened a beauty salon in Essex and together we had ten amazing years working together where each client became our friend.
Annie started working with us as one of our beauty therapists at our salon. We felt that Annie’s understanding of people and passion for beauty was incredible and had been her vocation in life since a young age. Annie soon became our Salon’s manageress (despite not having any “Girls World” experience!!). Annies work in a pharmacy, whilst still at school, promoting skin care and make up for high-end brands and her college training, enabled her to have a great knowledge of the beauty world.
Our Salon at this time was offering various eyelash treatments, with Annie’s guidance we expanded the variety of eyelash enhancements and introduced our Salon to different application methods and Russian volume lashes. These new treatments were an instant success and we tried and tested many brands over the years, always striving to find the best, fluffiest, natural lashes to give our clients the most natural appearance available on the market. Although we used various brands, there was always a feeling that these products did not reflect the amazing transformation that eyelashes can make to your appearance.
After selling my beauty Salon, and Annie traveling the world for 18 months with a major airline we have re-joined forces and pinkfishes.com was created with the help of many amazing family and friends, who we could never thank enough.
