The lash and brow industry is constantly changing and evolving to suit the trends of today, and a drastic change can be identified over the past five years, aligning closely with the Covid-19 pandemic. Due to lack of accessibility to beauty salons and technicians as a result of government guidelines, the nation of beauty lovers were forced to find alternative solutions to their normal treatments during the difficult period. We saw a dramatic shift from bold, heavy lash and brow looks to a more subtle, natural aesthetic; a simpler option for DIY beauty.
These natural enhancements then developed further in the years post-Covid, with a noticeable decline in lash extension treatments as clients began moving over to lash lifts. Many waved goodbye to mega volumes and block brows, but this was not the end for the lash and brow industry; this was simply the introduction of a new approach to beauty treatments. In 2025, we now see beauty treatments working with the natural features to create looks personalised to the clients, to assist in enhancing the features we already possess. Eyebrow trends have evolved extensively over time, seeing a shift from thin, 'Hollywood' style, to block brows, to bushy, to sleek. With Summer '25 being all about embracing the natural, brow trends have drifted to a chic, neat, feathered look, working to enhance the natural brow in contrast to altering and changing it.
Brow Styles - Shaping and Tinting
This summer, it's all about back to the basics to achieve trending brows; brow shaping and tinting. This treatment can transform the face with minimal time and maintenance, simply by tweezing, waxing, threading and tinting. Whilst the full, fluffy brow remains in fashion, '90's' or 'Hollywood' brows is making a comeback for summer '25, incorporating the thin-brow look. We will also see an uprise in 'fox eye' brows this summer; a slightly upturned brow with a higher arch and overall straighter appearance. This style of brow can be seen in celebrities such as Bella Hadid, and offers a more 'lifted' look to the face, whereby the tail of the brow is straighter in contrast to downturned. The look can create the allusion of a more youthful appearance, alongside elongating the eye, whilst maintaining a full, fluffy look - all of which can be achieved simply by brow shaping!

Future Predictions for Trends in the Lash and Brow Industry
The beauty industry is every-changing, so it's always hard to predict which trend is around the corner. However, based on the current growing trend of personalised-specification treatments and enhancing natural features, we predict a continued 'natural' streak throughout the lash and brow industry. Angel lashes are particularly emerging, offering a natural yet noticeable look, so we predict further adaptations of this style, including more brown angel lashes, and potentially even different shades and thicknesses!
Despite our love for embracing the natural, with the newly introduced 'laser lashes' entering the lash realm, alongside bottom lash extensions making a reappearance, we can't help but to assume a slightly more dramatic lash trend is going to flood the scene, particularly in the winter months ahead.
